About

Game-Based Pedagogy (GBP) is a pedagogy grounded on different implementations of various game-based approaches. In education often used game-based approaches include: educational games, entertainment games, learning by making games, and gamification. Each of these approaches has its own particular characteristics and learning potential that teachers need to know in order to implement game-based learning effectively.

The main aims of this project are to develop knowledge and education a course on GBP. For this we developed a course within an interdisciplinary team and investigated how participant teachers developed knowledge and competence on GBP.

The outcomes of the project are listed below.

  • Improvement of in-service teachers’ knowledge and competences in GBP
  • Course and instructional materials about GBP for pre-service and in-service teachers
  • Knowledge about GBP for higher education

A description of the project activities and research and the developed course materials are provided in this website.
